Addiction: A medical rather than a moral issue
6. September 2010 by stationmanager.
As is often the case, I ran across some interesting information as I was looking for something else. In this case it is a public domain video produced in 1988 by Rutgers University. The gist of the video is that alcoholism is a medical condition and should be treated as such. Using concise thinking and clear language, it debunks the idea that alcoholism is the result of some moral failing within the affected individual. This LINK will take you to the video produced by Rutgers University as part of their “The Open Mind” series. I hope you find it useful and informative as I did.
