Who we are and what we do

The Recovery Radio Network was founded in 2002 as a 501 (C) 3 not for profit corporation. and, has been online continuously since February 2004. Originally we were a streaming radio service hosted in Silicon Valley CA. but, as technology improved, we transitioned to a podcast format in March of 2009 to lower expenses and reach a wider audience. Our mission is to provide peer support services to the recovery community. We do this through the presentation of online workshops, and educational materials in the form of talks by recovered people and experts in the field of addiction. The Recovery Radio Network brings you twelve step speakers and workshops designed for recovering individuals and the people who support them. The speakers share their personal experiences of recovery on the topics of alcoholism, codependency, and drug addiction, while our workshops are aimed at helping recovering individuals develop a better understand of twelve step programs. Over 3000 AA, Al-Anon, CODA, NA, MA, CA, and ACA speakers in our database may be downloaded, shared, or streamed from our site for free. In 2018 we published a total of over two million audio streams, averaging 172,000 downloads per month. Over the years people have logged in to Recovery Radio from six continents and over 100 different countries.
